The Blessings of Abraham

Abraham was born in idolatry but God had a plan for his life. He was hand picked by God for a special purpose. There are so many conditions we are born into when we come into this world that limits our destiny. Idolatry was enough to limit Abraham from stepping into the greatness God called him into.

It was the favor of God that established Abraham to make him a great nation. This favor that God placed on Abraham destroyed the impact of the limitations and enlarged him. By obeying God the favor manifested into blessings for Abraham. This perpetual blessings flow through many generations and today we are still seeing the impact in the blessings of Israel and the world at large. God told Abraham in Genesis 12: 3 “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” We see in Numbers 22, Balak the king of Moab feared Israel and wanted to get rid of them so he hired a prophet called Baalam to curse Israel. Baalam could not curse Israel because Israel was blessed by God and it cannot be reversed. The Almighty God by His infinite wisdom chose to establish Abraham through the covenant He made with Abraham.

Today we as spiritual Israel, carry the blessings of Abraham. The Bible says in Galatians 3: 13-14 “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith” The faithfulness of Jesus Christ in submitting Himself to become the sacrificial lamb has affords us this privilege to reap the blessings of Abraham.

When we give our lives to Jesus Christ we come under a covenant by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, whose’s blood remove our sins and give us a new life. Today as Christians we can walk in the blessings of Abraham just as how Abraham had an established relationship with God. We have been given power to operate in supernatural wonders. We are able to trust God knowing that we are not a mere religious people but we are a people living in an established relationship with Jesus Christ.

I Decree that:

The limitations upon my life break and favor of the Living God be multiplied unto me.

The favor Abraham received come upon my life today in the name of Jesus

The wealth of Abraham I am ready for you, establish me to the glory of God.
