Wherever I am I will seek you oh Lord
When the test of time comes whether on the mountain or in the valley
You are there with me as my battle-axe
On the mountain top or in the valley there will still be victory
The battles of the mountains are different from the battles in the valleys.
The battles on the mountain is for the mature believers. To reach the mountain top of life it takes a personal relationship with God and understanding His word and where He is leading us. Top maintain the mountain top victories we must be battle ready because like Elijah we can afford to let the enemy get us down from our position. Like Elijah we have to engage the the enemy with fire. In 2 Kings 1: 10 “And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty”
The battles in the valley is for the development of the believer. This were believers fight the good fight of faith so that they can grow spiritually.
On the mountain and in the valley we face trials and temptations of different magnitudes
On the mountain the devil tries to pull us down in to shame
In the valley he tries to stop us from going up to keep us in shame
On the mountain and in the valley we are tested with the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life to hook us in a trap to pull us down or stagnate our move.
The power of sin can pull us down or stop us from going up the mountain. Sin is an enemy that cuts us off from our source of power which is in Christ Jesus.
The mountain signifies our strength while the valley shows someone fighting to get up to the top and seeking strength for their spiritual journey
It takes adamant faith to be victorious on the mountain because here is where we must reject the devil’s offers. Matthew 4: 8-10 “Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve” Jesus. bluntly rebuked the devil
In the valley the devil wants us to speak negative to and about ourselves. The Bible says we must build up ourselves in the most holy faith. Like Ezekiel prophesying to the dry bones in the valley we must speak life to our situations and cause dead and dry things to come alive.
May we be victorious were ever we are on the mountain or in the valley so that our lives can glorify Jesus Christ.
