INTRO: Giving thanks in tough times may not be easy without some level of spiritual maturity. The Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5: 18 In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Whatever is going on in our lives we need to practice thanksgiving, it is a good medicine for the soul.
To be able to look back on all the trials and the tough times that we have been through is enough to give the Almighty God thanks. Our thanksgiving to Jesus Christ is enough to pave the rough road into a smooth path.
A PRAYER: Today we first give you thanks oh Lord for who you are to us and where you plan to carry us. We thank you Lord for the rough road we have walked through. Thank you Lord for those who turn their backs on us because of where you are carrying us. Thank you for those who get an opportunity to stand against us for they exposes themselves as hindering vessels of divine manifestation in our lives.
Lord Jesus your word says “Think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you as though some strange things happen unto you, but rejoice in that ye are part-takers of Christ suffering that when His glory shall be reveal ye may be glad also” As Children of God we will face strange and hard trials but we thank you Jesus Christ because you had gone through many trials and we are encouraged by your word in Luke 23: 31 “For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?” So Lord we are depending on your strength to carry us as we give you thanks in our tough times.
In our trials we can also thank God for those who stand with us in prayers. They stand in the gap and intercede for us. Some may have sleepless nights because they sorrow in our sorrow.
CONCLUSION: If you are going through trials remember that too shall pass. I encourage us to take the word of God, confess it our our lives, stand in faith and watch the manifestation for our victories. Be encouraged in the confidence that the work of God, the wisdom of God in our situations are set to marvel us. We remember that every time God intervene in our lives he reveal another attribute of Himself. Never stop giving thanks to Jesus Christ He is the answer to all we need, He is the way. He will change our situation as we continue to give thanks.
