In times of any medical emergency first aid is the first thing to apply. No one knows when an emergency will occur so it is important to do First Aid training. As human we all need each other at some time in our lives especially for special care. In First Aid we learn the process or steps to take which is called CHECK CALL CARE Here are some scriptures to help us to apply First Aid to each other as Christians. There is a Song that says “Don’t let another wounded solider die” It is our duty as soldiers of Christ to build up and protect each other.
The Bible says in Galatians 6: 2 “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ” Christ have set a standard through His word for us to be effective in applying first aid. Remember Jesus gave us the story of the good Samaritan. Jesus was asked a question in Luke 10: 29 “But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? Jesus gave the story then asked the question which of the three was a neighbor unto the man that was robbed (Luke 10: 29- 37)
The Bible also tells us in Proverbs 27: 17 “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend” We all go through troublesome times and get weary so we need the band-aid of encouragement to cover the wounds. This is someone who is willing to CHECK for the wounds. We need to check on each other as a sense of accountability. We need those who will CALL upon the Lord through prayer. The Bible say in James 5: 16 “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” When we pray for each other it help the person who is in need of that back up strength. We need those who will CARE The Bible encourages us to care or to be hospitable to each other. We are told in 1 Peter 4: 9- 10 “Use hospitality one to another without grudging. 10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” We also show that we care when we share with those in need 1 John 3: 17-18 “But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. We love by caring for each other as Christ would want us to do.
Putting The First Aid practice of CHECK CALL CARE into action will decorate our spiritual life. Let’s seek to be a blessing in making someone’s life better today by CHECK CALL CARE. Le’st see to it that we do these three C”s.
