7 WISDOM OF THE WISE

  • Wisdom of silence is the way of the wise Proverbs 17: 27-28 “He that hath knowledge spareth his words, and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. 28 Even a fool when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise and he that shutteth his lips is esteened a man of understanding”
  • Guard your tongue because it can create war, kill and destroy good James 3: 6 “And the tongue is a fire; a world of iniquity; so is the tongue among members that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature and it is set on fire of hell”
  • The ears functions better when the mouth is kept shut A soldier in captivity knows by their code of conduct what must not be said. 1 Peter 1: 15 “But as he which hath called you is hold so be ye holy in all manner of conversation” Our conversation must represent Christ just like the soldier under interrogation must speak as was trained to do.
  • Wisdom is saying nothing when there is nothing to say. Ecclesiastes 9: 17 “The word of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
  • Your words are no longer yours once they leave the confines of your heart. Ecclesiastes 10: 20 “Curse not the king no not in thy thought and curse not the rich n thy bedchamber; for a bird of the air shall carry the voice and that which hath wings shall tell the matter”
  • A wise person talks less and think more Psalms 119: 15″ I will meditate in thy precepts and have respect unto thy ways
  • If you say nothing nobody can misquote you. Psalms 39: 1 “I said I will take heed to my ways that I sin not with my tongue. I will keep my tongue with a bridle while the wicked is before me”
