Displaying God’s Standard

When the Word of God says love not the world. It is telling us that the Christian’s life style has a standard to it and the world has it’s own. As Christians we are guided by the manual call the Bible.

In a work environment there are dress code that employees must adhere to. The Bible tell us how the Children of God should adorn themselves, therefore we are expected to follow the dress code of God’s word.

There are to forces in operation and they opposes each other. By the power of God, good will triumph over the force of evil. The force of good is in submission to the true and living God while evil is of the devil. If a Christian begin to love the worldly lifestyle and dressing then the standard he or she should uphold diminishes. Many religions are identifiable by their dressing and certain ceremonial conduct. The Christians should carry a modest dressing that does not publicize their private areas and their speech should be identifiable. Not just a mere talk about God but someone should be able to tell that such Christian have an encounter with Christ. Proper dressing alone is not the answer, the hidden many must be expressed. We see in scripture where Christian wives having husbands who are not saved are instructed on how to conduct themselves especially by their conversation and not just by dressing up. 1 Peter 3: 1- 4 “Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price” The Christian lives are spectacle both within the homes and the wider public. Therefore vigilant practice on how to conduct one’s self is a must to please Jesus Christ.

It is a wonderful thing to observe the uniform of many organizations across the globe. Some are very fashionable and express a sense of dignity and self respect. Let us as Christian men and women rise up and express the standard given in the scriptures. The author CHOMSKYWEB is imploring Christian women to adhere to standard set and display it, because you are referred to as the light of the world. God want Christians to shine by the standard given in the word of God that we must applied.

The Christian men are not exempt. The women are spoken about a lot concerning their dressing but there is a shift in men’s fashion that becomes ungodly. God want His people to dress well and display His word through a maintained standard. Many Christian men’s clothing from top to bottom becomes skin fit and we know that all these fashion came on the scene in the last few years and the trend now begin to increase in the churches. Many slang that are expressed in the world today have their meaning and purpose and some are not becoming to be uttered by vessels of the Living God. Men especially are drawn to say them mainly because of the macho stands some of the slang implies.

This writing is to help us to be careful we offend the word of God and become a stumbling block to Christians and those in the world. There are people in the world that wear their worldly dressing but hate to see Christians wear worldly style of dressing. We must be careful some of those people put us to shame. There are a lot more to the standard of God’s word other than the dress code and our manner of speech.
