God Almighty by His infinite wisdom have given everyone of us a free will. We have the ability to make choices, this also help to make life interesting. We are not perfect beings so at times the choices we make become the very things that hurt us. That is why it is important to know the word of God so we can walk in His will. We all go through our time of grief, sorrow, rejections, setbacks and self imposed failures. All these bring our emotion to a low where our soul is cast down.
David spake in Psalm 42: 5 “Why art thou cast down, O my soul, and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance” After David recognized the state that his soul was in he encouraged himself by praising God. Worship, praising and thanking God has the power to change our countenance from a sorrowful heart to a merry heart.
Proverbs 15: 3 “A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken”
Proverbs 17: 22 “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones”
Everyone need their moment of laughter and recreation. Even though we are told from scripture in 1 Peter 4: 12 “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happen unto you”
