Great Door Open

Are you struggling for a breakthrough? What good have you done and there seems to be no reward? Are you living according to the Word of God and struggles seems to increase? Well today let me encourage us, myself included,’ The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are open unto their cry’. When the battle increases and prayers seems like they are not been answered it is an indication that something great is on the horizon. The weeping hours are about to be over and perpetual rejoicing is about to be showered upon us.

In the Book of Esther we see Mordecai the cousin of Esther, a man with a good heart that took responsibility for his young cousin because she had no parents. In Esther 2: 21-23 it was noted how Mordecai had saved the kings life. What Mordecai did was written in the book of chronicles before the king and this would have come with great rewards but there was hindrances. God had allow that setback because by His infinite knowledge He knew what was to come. God knows where the enemy will strike. He knows that a Haman will rise up against Mordecai and the Jews and that is were God wanted to grant the breakthrough. When the situation reaches the extreme where flesh and blood have to get out of the way, God will work. Haman was hanged on the gallows he built for Mordecai. Mordecai was given states reward shown in Esther 6: 7-10 and promoted as shown in Esther 8: 8-10 to give command for laws to be written for the Jews throughout all the Provinces from India to Ethiopia.

We now look at the children of Israel who had left Egypt and all may seem well but the enemy was still bent on stopping them from getting into the Promise Land. The Bible tells us that the battle is the Lord’s. God had given them instruction to go by the sea, now it seems all was wrong because when they look they saw the enemy behind them, mountains on both sides and the sea before them. This was where all seems to end. It looks like the last thread of hope was now broken and there was no way out. Man’s extremity is God’s opportunity to show His power. By the infinite power of the Most High God the Red Sea was opened and this was where God killed Pharaoh and his troops. God will put and end to the problems, the enemies and the setbacks. He will quench them in the Red sea of life.

Hannah the wife of Elkanah had suffered barrenness as God had shut up her womb. She was mocked ever so often by Peninnah who was another wife of Elkanah who had children. Her continual grief had her husband consoling her but that did not help. At her wits end she left everyone’s company and went to the temple to pour out her soul to God. Right in the midst of her prayer she was put down and was seen as a drunkard but at the moment of humbling herself before God she was able to give a gentle answer to the Priest Eli. Eli in turn sanctioned the mind of God concerning her situation. Her pain brought everlasting joy as the nation of Israel now had an intercessor, a High Priest and a Judge that would stand for righteousness and bring light to the nation. Her pain and setbacks brought forth blessings

I had experienced where I was seeking God through prayer and fasting to push to another level and I got 1 Corinthians 16: 9 “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries” This happened more than once. Some time after I had a friend from Cameroon who lives in Maryland. I met him at work for the first time I spoke with him and realized that he is a Christian and I invited him to church. He had just prayed to God about church because the one he was attending was contrary to many things the Bible teaches. He had spoken to his wife about the situation and she asked him if he was the only Christian there. Then he remembered the scripture when Elijah was complaining to God when he ran away from Jezebel’s threat in 1 Kings 19:10 “And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.” He could not answer his wife as remembering the scripture had convicted him. His prayer was answered when he met me. I would pick him up for church and depending on the time he would take the vehicle drop me off and go get ready and pick me up for church. The second week of picking him up he was thanking me and then said he was praying for me because I was a blessing to him. He told me God told him concerning me “A great door and effectual open unto me but there are many adversaries” I was surprised. I come to realized who some of my adversaries are. I come to realized that when you are carrying come thing great the battles intensifies.

As my battle get far more intense I rejoice because Jesus Christ is in control. As painful as situations are I depend on His word as the primary example for my breakthroughs. May what we are going through will bring glory to the Living God and blessings in our time and generations to come.

May every hindrances to our open doors be stopped by the power of the Living God in the name of Jesus. May our eyes be open to escape all the wiles of the devil. May the Lord Jesus Christ move the Pharaoh spirits and Haman spirits challenging our blessings, anointing, callings and breakthroughs. May the Samuel anointing shut by God in what seems to be a barren womb come fort in the divine time to dumbfound the Peninnah’s mocking our calling. May we be bless today and by the grace of the Almighty God walk through our open doors.

This song came to my spirit when I was writing and I am led to search for it and share it. I hope it will be a blessing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PBf5I4eEZ4 I don’t know the church but I know the song.

  1. Amen! Maurice, I thank God and I thank you for this post which is a blessing to me. Just this morning I was talking to my son and telling him that something in our past or possibly a generational curse is hindering his and my progress. This prayer is powerful and I will pray it over our lives. I am requesting your permission to reblog this post and to copy this prayer. I will also share this post on my Facebook page. God bless you, man of God.
